Manga characters are really popular nowadays because their distinctive features like big and round eyes, funny emotions and super deformed bodies. These may look or sound weird, but many of people wants to learn how to draw manga characters.
Anyway, let's start article about how to draw manga special features and tips.
Manga eyes – One of the most popular features of manga characters. Manga eyes are really big, shiny and expressive eyes which make them really attractive and cute, especially for female and chibi characters. The lesson how to draw manga eyes is quite tricky because you will need to apply eye details on your drawing such as the iris and the pupil. I suggest you to try to draw your favorite characters first or draw characters from the anime "Magic Knight Rayearth" by Clamp because they have these big and shiny eyes, just to get the idea how is it done, and then try to draw or create using your own style.
Manga bodies – Drawing manga bodies are one of the complicated features to draw because you need to concentrate on balance and proportion of the body. To make drawing manga bodies easier for you, I suggest you to study or make a search for the simplest drawing pattern because these patterns will be your guide on where to put the important body details such as waist, joints, and hips.
Chibi characters – Many people loves these characters. This is another popular character. Chibi simply means “little” or "little man" or "child" in Japanese.
